Congratulations to our Charles D. Close School alumni, Evan Ehlers, for earning a spot on the 2023 AACSB Class of Influential Leaders!

While he was a student at Drexel, Evan created his business, Sharing Excess, when he observed how much food was being wasted in Philadelphia. He created a way to combat food insecurity on campus and in the surrounding communities. To help minimize food waste, he distributes surplus food from businesses to the community. Sharing Excess continues to grow and adapt to make day-to-day operations more efficient. With the help of current Drexel students, Sharing Excess launched an app that allows people to schedule pickups and drop-offs of food. Sharing Excess also launched student chapters at multiple academic institutions to encourage students to get involved in the mission to fight food waste.
